Jodie Points hails from Central PA and began training at Sigel's School of Dance under the direction of Skip Sigel and Pandy Foreman. She became the Cecchetti Ballet Company Dance Captain in Pittsburgh, PA and then moved to New York to major in dance at Hofstra University. Training with Lance Westergard, Robin Becker, Kathy McCann-Buck, and Amy Marshall, her work was featured at ACDFA and she was on the executive board of several dance organizations. During her time at Hofstra, Jodie cultivated her love of teaching children. After college, she pursued this passion full-time. Jodie is trained in many styles of dance including contemporary, lyrical, modern, musical theater, tap, and jazz, but she emphasizes a strong balletic and technical background for all dancers. A certified and registered Dance Masters of America teacher, Jodie has taught at The Dream Center Dance Academy for eleven years and TJE Dance Force for three, both of which are nominated Top Ten Dance Studios in the Northeast by the Federation of Dance Competitions. She is on the Master Class faculty of DMA, and teaches guest workshops in the Northeast. Her students have won many National titles, college and convention scholarships, and even a Tony Award for "Billy Elliot" on Broadway, as well as assisting on convention circuts. She has also worked as a make-up artist for stage and print. As a Judge, Jodie has worked for Hall of Fame, Kids Artistic Revue, and StarQuest International, where she has had the honor of being head judge and Master Class teacher at many National Finals.
